Cause of his death was Tubercolosis.1 Burial Notes: He is buried along with Bernard Monoghan, Ellen McGrath, Margaret Hegney and Annie M. Collins Some of his life's milestones were: There is conflicting birth information of 1815 and Cork, Ireland. 1 He emigrated to Australia sailing aboard "Mindoro" with his wife & son on Jul 22, 1855 from Portsmouth, Hampshire, England. 1 They arrived in Melbourne on Oct 27, 1855. and were met by "their uncles who were employed in building the Customs House in Flinders St." (quote from Eileen Day) John married Julia Horrigan, daughter of Cornelius Horrigan and Julia Welsh, in 1845.1 (Julia Horrigan was born in 1815 in Cork, Ireland 2 and died in 1859 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia 2.) |
