Elizabeth arrived in New Zealand with her husband John Barron on the same ship (Sir George Seymour) as Henry Deery (her father) and his family in 1847.

Elizabeth's second husband was Walter Huntley whom she married in 1835 following John Barrron's death. A question arrises as her last two boys born to John Barron (Alexander & James) had Huntley as a middle name.

Elizabeth married John Barron, son of George Barron and Mary Milne, in 1832 in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.¹ (John Barron was born on Jan 24, 1808 in Ellon, Aberdeenshire, Scotland ², baptised on Feb 10, 1808 in Ellon, Aberdeenshire, Scotland ² and died on Jan 6, 1852 in Auckland, Waikato, New Zealand ³.)

  Marriage Notes:

There is a record of a John Barron marrying Bridget Derry in Limerick Ireland on Nov 15, 1836. This is believed to be a different Jihn Barron.
