"He was a good carpenter and worked for Qld Govt building program back in the '70s. Mum also said he was a fantastic violin player and that all his sisters and brothers learnt a musical instrument. Unfortunately after his divorce Bill took to drinking rather heavily and ended up retiring and residing in Aramac, Qld right up until his death (he died a pauper). My Mum took care of the funeral arrangements and put his violin on his coffin when he was buried, Kelvin was the only member of the family to attend the funeral even though Jean (through My mum) was a big part of the funeral arrangements. Bill is buried three quarters along the second row of the Longreach lawn cemetery." 3
